Updates The Dealers letter has been updated, and here are the news and notes for this month:

Our latest progress report is now complete and is being mailed out as we speak. It can also be found in the “publications” section of our website. PR2 contains the nomination ballot for the World Fantasy Awards. We also have the nomination ballot itself on our website for households that receive only one progress report but with more than one person eligible to nominate.

Our hotel is filling fast. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights still have plenty of rooms left but are over 50% filled. Our block on Wednesday and Sunday are full but there are SOME rooms available at a discounted rate of $239. We are looking into other hotels in the immediate area for people who wish to come in earlier or stay later.

Programming has done a rough time-table of events and this can be found in the “details” section of our website. This, however is subject to change.

Our Dealers’ Room has several dealers confirmed already so if you are looking for a dealers’ table, consider sending in your paperwork early. We have been talking with the hotel about the layout for our dealers room; we have found the tables they will be supplying us will be six feet long.

An extended version “about Calgary” has been added to our website and can be found in the “details” section.

PR 3 is now complete and all members from the last couple of years as well as current members should be receiving it soon. I also recommend checking out our on-line version of PR 3. We’ve hyper-linked just about everything. It can be found in the “publication” section of our website.

Remember that registration prices are now $150 US.

While there is still room during the convention itself, the Hyatt is pretty much book pre and post convention. Our overflow hotel is The International. Check our website for details.

For our US dealers and artists, we have customs information and documentation on our website. These can be found in the “details” section.

Our Guest Author, David Morrell, will be conducting a workshop on Wednesday, October 29th, the topic of which will be “Lessons From a Lifetime of Writing” This workshop is done in conjunction with the Calgary Regional Consortium (www.crcpd.ab.ca). While mainly aimed at educators, registration is open to all who wish to attend, however availability is limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Cost for this all-day workshop is $85 CDN.
